Catherine Larue

After a PhD in immunology, Catherine Larue began her career as a researcher at Sanofi, Montpellier, working in cardiovascular research, then supported the transfer to production of certain biological discoveries.

After 20 years in R&D between the pharmaceutical industry and life sciences industry, during which she co-authored several dozen scientific publications and filed several patents, in 2012 she became general director of the Luxembourg biobank (a gigantic freezer at very cold temperatures (-160°C) where human biological samples are stored to understand the origin of certain diseases), then general director of the Luxembourg Institute of Health.

Since 2020, she has created a consulting firm (CoDx) in Luxembourg to build bridges between academic and industrial research. She occasionally serves as an expert for the European Commission, particularly in a new aspect of modern therapies, including personalized medicine (the right drug for a given patient, at the right dose, and at the right time). She was recently certified (2025) in European CSRD standards by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
